my friends
i only seem cool because of the absolute rockstars i get to hang out with:
- nausicaa is the coolest person i've ever met. she's been writing about the things she's been building (some of the things i even get to help her with); i think everything on her website is terribly underrated
- ac is an old, dear friend who is on an arc of transformative community-building and meaning-making. he has good, deep thoughts about what machine learning means / should mean for how we make decisions
- russ makes spectacular, addicting indie puzzle games, and has a deep, beautiful appreciation for absurdity in storytelling. also he has a heart of gold and the cutest baby in the world.
- tasshin is at the top of my list of people who might possibly fix the world one day. he's a personal idol, an inspiration, and a dear friend. he's also a really good writer. seriously, buy his books.
- mochee is a renaissance man, a community builder, a thought leader, an artist, and an A-grade goofball. we should all be a little bit more like mochee.
- tess makes "having entertainingly wrong opinions" into an art form. the insane things she does with a computer are unparalleled. once I bet her a significant amount of money she couldn't write a bug-for-bug compatible typechecker for typescript in a year, so she quit her job and spent a full year trying to write one in C. i won the bet. tess rules. read her posts.
